Paul Gallegos is a good man and a good District Attorney. He’s not only a leader in Humboldt County, but in all of the North Coast. He has the people’s best interest at heart and is trying to do the right thing for Humboldt County; the citizen’s are lucky to have Paul as their D.A.
Marriage Equality for Gays and Lesbians?
I do not believe that marriage between non-heterosexual people threatens my heterosexual marriage. Nor do I believe it threatens any healthy heterosexual marriage. I do not believe prejudism and hate should be promoted by our elected officials, our political parties, or our legal institutions. I believe that all people should be entitled to the same protections from the law and our system of government. I believe that current laws that prohibit a civil union between two people based solely on their sexual preferences deprives those two people of the same protections of the law that others with different sexual preferences have. Therefore, on practical, on moral and on legal grounds I do not believe people should be prohibited from marriage based on their sexual preference.
